Welcome welcome welcome... no, I'm just kidding! Anyways... I just realized that since I am going back to school (NEWSFLASH!) this year, I will not be able to be on a computer for as much time as I would like. So I am going to start posting Tips of the Day and Picture of the day and stuff like that. So in one of the most recent Minecraft snapshots or updates or whatever you want to call them, they introduced this thing that makes it a lot easier to craft things. And by the way(I know you don't start a sentence with "And" but I had to.) It is personally my favorite except for when they added a new texture for charcoal. When you are in a crafting table or your inventory you can hold right click and hover over the squares that you want filled with only one block. If you hold left click while doing that it will distribute all of the materials evenly as shown below. I do hope that I will be able to keep this thing running but I may have to drop it for a while, as I get settled back into school seeing that it is my first time actually GOING to school in like five years. So thanks for stopping by and come again for some more posts.

NOTE:I apologize, I have not posted in 5 months. I had no access to a computer so I had this draft in here. It is not completely done but I will just post it because there needs to be something. This post refers to early snapshots and all the info is not up to date. I will make more posts as if they were from that time and the information will correspond to the snapshot or update it is about.

I have been holding off on doing posts about snapshots because there is not really enough to talk about in one snapshot. What I think I am going to do is do 2 or 3 snapshots at a time. That being said, lets get talking about these snapshots! I have to say I am really excited about the new features that are coming. There are lots of new features, blocks, mobs, textures and lots of really neat stuff. Now lets get into the fun stuff, lets talk about the new launcher. In snapshot 13w16a Mojang introduced a brand new launcher for Minecraft. The new launcher looks amazing. It has a version changer on it so you no longer have to download the Minecraft Version Changer. There are 3 different tabs that you can look at in the login screen: the Update Notes, Development Console, and the Local Version editor. Now if you ask me the other tabs are useless, but that is me... These other tabs have coding stuff and it is significant but as far as I can tell not of any use unless you know code and are interested in that stuff. It also has a Service status area. It tells you whether or not multiplayer is working, and whether or not you will be able to log in. Right now when you download the program it is called MinecraftDev, but I am sure that when it is fully developed it will be changed.
I think that the next thing is maybe one of the most exciting ones. Horses. Horses have been long overdue. In a game like Minecraft people have wanted horses to travel to new biomes, go into battle, and much more. They have armor which can be iron, gold or diamond. They have leads which you can guide them with and also attach them to fenceposts. I have always wanted to tie my horse on the outside of a western saloon and walk into the bar in multiplayer... Just an example of something people have wanted to do with horses.. Anyways.. They have their own inventory too. Earlier on you just right clicked to put a saddle on it but now you must get on it and enter the inventory to put it on. The armor is put on the same way. Hay bales were also added. I believe that you are able to feed horses with them but I am not sure. I could not find that anywhere. If I am wrong please let me know. Carpets are another thing that a lot of people have wanted. Something to cover up your messy floor. They are crafted the same way as pressure plates. You remember when you got respiration to kill squids or collect sand or clay and then you noticed that it was way to dark and you can't use torches underwater? Well, no more, the respiration enchantment now helps with lighting underwater.
The new launcher
The new launcher.
The new coal block is very useful. It is crafted just like redstone blocks or lapis lazuli blocks and you can put it in a furnace as fuel. Previously you could not obtain hay bales or leads in survival so crafting recipes for leads and hay bales were added as well. Also horses armor were added to items found in dungeons.

My dad showed me this yesterday and I just thought it was the coolest thing I've ever seen in my life. A diamond sword (made of materials other than diamonds) that is actually sharp! Its just so neat! He goes through all of the steps and what different tool do and all kinds of cool minecrafty/blacksmithy stuff. So check this out and I suggest you check out this guys channel too. He has some really cool chalk drawings and other stuff. I'm not sure if that is actually this peson's channel but whoever uploaded it has those chalk drawings.(That are 3D!)

I thought this mod was amazing. I have always wanted something like this. Please check it out and tell me what you think.

This is the video by CaptainSparklez. Ill be posting more media based stuff along with articles from now on. Hope you enjoy the video! Also try out the mod. I have tested it out and I can tell you that it is very great. You should also heed the warning of using Divine RPG with it. The weapons are really kind of powerful so using Divine RPG will balance it out with all the new mobs. Here are the links you might need to install it and links to Sniper_mine's (mod author) profiles:

A lot of you may already know of this mod but I just thought that it was pretty darn cool. It is called Jerry's Mod and it credits Captainsparklez's deceased pet Jerry the slime. It adds 2 new sets of tools and armor, slime stone and grass, and hopefully tamable slimes and a slime heaven where you can summon Jerry to be your own pet. It has been added to Captainsparklez's Modded Survival series and is considered over powerful if you do not use DivineRPG. For those of you who dont know DivineRPG is a mod that adds many things including lots of tools and weapons and a ton of new mobs. These mobs are sometimes had to kill and it kind of balances the overpowered swords that Jerry's Mod provides. Here is a link to the website: Jerry's Mod and a link to the Minecraft Forum   page.

Have you ever wanted to make a server but you couldn't because you didn't know how or you didn't have access to the tools. Well pretty soon that will change. Mojang has been working on something called Minecraft Realms. It is a simplified server hosting. Right now only 100 people can use it as testers. You will be able to subscribe and get a certain number of days to use that server. I have some pics of the home screen that I got from the Minecraft Wiki http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Realms They will be able to be public

or private. This is about the only information that I have so far but Ill keep you posted. Here is a link to the article Mojang posted on Minecraft Realms. As new information comes out I will make new little updates in the form of posts, and on FB and Twitter and Google+.

The Redstone Update came out on the 13th of March. A very long wait from the last update but worth it! There were 16 new items, 9 of them being redstone related and 7 being quartz items. There were 6 new blocks 5 of them being quartz, chiseled quartz, quartz pillars, quartz stairs, quartz slabs, and redstone blocks. I would just like to say that I think everybody who plays minecraft is grateful for the making of redstone blocks. There is SOO much redstone that you could fill chests upon chests with it but now you

can compact it into blocks. Now lets go through the redstone items. First there are droppers. They look kinda like dispensers but the front is a little different. It basically is a dispenser as far as I can tell except for it just drops items. I dont really see a difference but Im sure I missed something so if I did please comment below. Next are the weighted pressure plates. There are two of them. Iron and gold. You cannot activate them by stepping on them so you have to put an item on it. The hoppers are very very useful. It is shaped like a cone and there is an opening at the top and bottom. If you drop an item into the top of it the item will enter the hopper and go into one of the four slots available. Four slots may seem like too few but you can stack items. I also noticed that if the the hopper is next to a power source it will not allow items into it. So you can make an automatic mob killer that loads chests for you. There are 2 new mine carts: TNT cart and hopper cart. The TNT cart is activated when it goes over the new activator rail which we will get to in a minute. The mine cart with a hopper is useful for mining. You can make items fall into it and then go or you could just use a hopper on top of a mine cart with a chest and have more area to store. The activator rail does just what it says. It activates things like TNT. Next we will discuss the quartz side of the update. There is a little bit of a new twist to this. The ore is not found in Minecraftia. It is found in the nether. The ore is made of netherack with white streaks. It will give you shards of quartz that you can use to make blocks of quartz or chiseled quartz and pillars of quartz and stairs and slabs of quartz. The stairs have all the same functions as normal ones like you can put them upside down and stuff like that. I will be making a video on this so stay tuned for that. Ill try to post a little more often than I have been. I got a bunch of new pictures today of the new Flint Hills server.

New snapshot Yay! There should be one more snapshot before the big redstone update that we have all been waiting for. It will most likely be out by next week. Until then there is another snapshot based on more bug fixes. There are a couple of them that I understand.... The rest are using big words like GUI and entity. But anyways when you are riding a mine cart or a pig or any type of transport that you are in you can quit the game and when you log on again you will still be on your transportation device. Also "Mobs can now ride stuff that rides other stuff ." So I guess that means that a pig can ride a spider jockey or another pig.. I think. Do you remember when you would change your texture pack and it would take forever for it to load? Well it will happen no longer. We are thinking about doing some LAN parties. If you don't know what that is it is a party where people that live in the same area get together and play in the same place and actually interact. Also we may do some other minecraft related meetings so we'll keep you posted on that. Mojang.com

This snapshot is made up of all bug fixes. Since this is my first post and it is about a big fix snapshot I will keep it a short one. Sometimes people would spawn and suffocate in a wall. Thats fixed. Also the death messages were not able to translate when using the language thing. Apparently when some people finished their sign message and clicked the done button it crashed minecraft so thats fixed. That is only a short list but but but.. Im going to put a link in every post that will go to a complete list of the fixes and additions in every snapshot and update. Mojang.com
